About Lauren
Before I ever sat across from someone in a therapy room, I was walking alongside communities fighting for survival and justice.
My social work career began with organizing diverse communities across California and the U.S. who were impacted by housing, environmental, and economic injustices. I’ve worked in the trenches of advocacy, policy-making, program administration, and direct service — with people navigating poverty, housing insecurity, HIV, aging, and systems that were never built for them to thrive.
What these stories taught me — and what I still carry — is that healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
It happens in relationship. In connection. In reclaiming what was lost or never safe to begin with.
Therapy with me is part mirror, part map.
You already carry the wisdom — therapy simply creates the space to bloom into your real self, rooted in truth, not survival.. I am your guide.
That means slowing down. Listening to the parts of you that protect, perform, or shut down. Making space for the grief, anger, fear, and longing that never had a safe place to land.
I use a mix of approaches that help you understand your inner world, your body’s responses, and how past relationships may still be shaping your life today. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I show up fully — tuned in, thoughtful, and honest — and I’m not afraid to bring a little humor or realness into the room when it’s needed.
My work is shaped by a deep understanding of the patterns we all carry — the roles we’ve learned in relationships, the emotional habits we fall into, and the ways we’ve been wired (or wounded) to show up in the world. I help you spot those patterns and gently shift the ones that no longer serve you.
I’m someone who’s wired to sense the hidden thread, name the unspoken, and invite change that’s both practical and profound. I’m a natural decoder of emotional dynamics — both the ones in front of us and the ones that live in the nervous system, shaped long ago.
People describe me as:
I’m a mama to two kiddos and a couple of quirky animals (Oscar is our shy pup who thinks he’s a cat). I’m obsessed with flea markets, vintage dresses, and mid-century modern furniture. Give me a nature trail, a good book, and a sunny patch to sit in, and I’m golden.
Above all, I’m a learner. About people. About patterns. About what makes healing real.
